I met Stefano Spadoni several years ago: at that time I was struggling to understand who I was, I was lacking personal esteem and I didn't' feel to be beautiful and able to face the world by myself.

I met Stefano Spadoni when I came to New York - we are both from the same region in Italy. Despite my rather technical background, I’ve always had a great interest for languages and writing as well as a real curiosity for ‘’psychological’’ aspects of relationships between men and women in our today’s society. When I discovered that Stefano Spadoni was looking for a French translator to work on his book `'What Men Don't Want You To Know' ', I said to myself….’’this cannot be  the fruit of fate, you must translate this book!''
It is really with no regret and a great pleasure that I currently work on it since this book is simply `'the key’’ offered to any woman to help her find her way and improve her life. In his book, Stefano does not judge men or women, he explains, advises and teaches us not only how to decode men’s language, but also to deep understand our own behaviors, success or failures.
As a translator, my work could only be to convey the author’s message to his readers, but in this particular case, I must admit I totally agree.
Life is like a ballet and we can dance it only once. Do what we want is important, but want what we do is still sometimes more!

Malgré des études plutôt techniques, j’ai toujours eu un penchant pour les langues et l’écriture ainsi qu’une réelle fascination pour le côté ‘’psychologique’’ de la relation homme-femme dans notre société actuelle. Aussi, lorsque j’ai appris que Stefano Spadoni cherchait une traductrice pour son livre ‘’What Men Don’t Want You To Know’’, je me suis dit….’’ ce n’est pas le fruit du hasard,  il faut absolument que tu traduises ce livre!’’
C’est sans aucun regret et avec grand plaisir que j’y travaille actuellement car cet ouvrage est tout simplement ‘’la clef’’ offerte à toute femme pour s’épanouir et enrichir sa vie. Dans son livre, Stefano ne juge ni les hommes, ni les femmes;  il explique, conseille et nous apprend non seulement à décoder le langage des hommes, mais également à comprendre nos propres comportements, succès et échecs.
En tant que traductrice, mon travail ne pourrait consister qu’à transmettre le message de l’auteur à ses lectrices, mais dans ce cas précis, je dois avouer que j’y adhère totalement.
La vie est un ballet et nous n’avons l’occasion de le danser qu’une seule fois. Faire ce que l’on veut est certes important, mais vouloir ce que l’on fait l’est parfois plus encore!

I have always been a perfect daughter, a perfect child, a perfect student, a perfect girlfriend, a perfect employee. Why? Because my parents, teachers, boyfriends and bosses wanted me to be. I was always so busy satisfying someone else's needs that there was no opportunity and no time to ask myself: "What would I like to be"
